Studio Fine XL Oils are quick drying, versatile oil colours created specifically to meet the requirements of contemporary artists. The XL Fine Oil range consists of a diverse palette of intermixable colours and effects, such as traditional , light or pastel , bright modern and the ready to use unique transparent glazing and iridescent Dyna colours. All these colours compatible with each other and a multitude of sumptuous mixtures. Studio Fine XL Oils are developed with the same precision as extra fine oils, finely ground, intensely pigmented and permanent. They perfect for professional artists, mixed media artists, students of art and hobby artists. XL Oils intended for application on canvas, cardboard, paper and wood, but suitable for producing large pictorial spaces as well. XL Oils have a smooth, supple consistency making them suitable for all techniques from glazing to layering thick coats / impasto. They can also be used in conjunction with mediums , auxiliaries for many more effects. Since XL Oil dries quickly, overlay work can be undertaken after 3 to 4 days. XL Fine Oils touch dry in 3 to 6 days depending on the thickness of the application. It is advisable to wait for 6 to 9 months before varnishing. The range consists of 52 traditional , modern , 5 Iridescent Dyna , 5 Glaze colours in 37 ml or 200 ml Tubes. All are blendable and have the same viscosity. The paints can be diluted with solvents, oils or mediums, depending on the desired effect. XL Oils have very good lightfastness. Clean brushes, tools after use with a solvent such as turpentine or white spirit.
